Dr. Kelsey Paulson is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY26839). She received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University. Over the past 12 years, Kelsey has received training and experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, older adults, couples, active duty service members, and Veterans. She has extensive experience working with severe mental illness, mood/anxiety disorders, co-occurring substance use disorders, personality disorders (e.g., conflicts in interpersonal relationships), trauma, and chronic pain. Kelsey also works with the LGBTQIA and kink communities, and provides Gender therapy to the Transgender community. Kelsey is a member of the Personal Evolution Psychotherapy Gender consultation team.

Kelsey utilizes evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing/Enhancement Therapy to help individuals adjust to major life transitions and/or manage current reactions to childhood and adult traumatic experiences. She specializes in DBT and is a member of the Personal Evolution Psychotherapy DBT consultation team.

Kelsey feels that everyone has the capacity for true positive change. She believes that developing a safe, trusting relationship and working collaboratively creates an environment in which this change can happen more quickly and effectively.
